Privacy Policy

Introduction
NxtPrep is an interview preparation platform that helps students learn from real, structured interview experiences. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. NxtPrep is operated as part of the CCBP program.
Who this applies to
This policy applies to:
- Students who sign in through the CCBP learning portal
- Admins and panelists who review and manage content
- Visitors who browse public pages without signing in (limited data only)
Information we collect
When you sign in. When you sign in through the CCBP learning portal, we receive your portal user ID (SSO identifier), a display name (if you provide one during onboarding or in your profile), and profile photo. We use secure session cookies to keep you signed in. We do not receive or store your portal password.
When you use NxtPrep. While you browse and use the platform, we may collect pages and interview content you access (to provide the service and enforce access rules) and basic technical information such as browser type, IP address, and request timestamps (for security and abuse prevention).
When you submit an interview experience. If you submit an interview experience, we collect the details you provide, including company, role, interview year, round details, questions, topics, outcomes, and tips, as well as optional context you choose to share (branch, CGPA, graduation year, and background notes) and your consent to review and publication. Submission status and internal review notes are visible to our review team only.
Stored on your device. Some data is stored only in your browser and is not sent to our servers until you submit: draft submissions (saved locally so you can finish later) and recently viewed interviews (saved locally for your convenience). You can clear this by clearing your browser storage or submitting or deleting your draft.
Admin and panelist accounts. For users with review or admin access, we store name and account identifiers needed for sign-in, access control, and audit of review actions.
How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Provide the service — sign you in, show interview content, and save your profile
- Control access — determine which companies you can view based on your eligibility
- Review submissions — let our team review, edit, and approve experiences before publication
- Improve submissions — use automated tools to clean up grammar and structure before human review
- Keep the platform safe — prevent abuse, enforce rate limits, and protect accounts
- Operate admin workflows — attribute reviews and manage the content catalog
We do not use your information for advertising or sell it to third parties.
Company access
Some companies are available to all signed-in students. Others are unlocked only when you have an active job application at that company. To check eligibility, we use your portal user ID to look up application status in our internal systems. We use only what is needed to decide access. We do not show your full application record to other students.
What happens when you submit an experience
When you submit an interview experience:
- Your submission is stored securely and marked for review.
- It may be processed by automated tools to improve readability and structure. A human reviewer always checks content before anything is published.
- If approved, the experience is published in the NxtPrep catalog.
What is published. Your name and email are not shown on public interview pages. Published content may include interview questions, round details, tips, and optional profile context you chose to provide (such as branch, CGPA, graduation year, or background notes). We may show aggregated statistics (for example, average CGPA for a role) without identifying you individually.
What stays private. Your identity (name and email) is visible only to admins and panelists for review and quality control. Unpublished or rejected submissions are not shown in the public catalog.
Please do not include information that could identify you or others without permission (for example, interviewer names, private links, or confidential company information).
Cookies and device storage
We use:
- Essential cookies — to maintain your sign-in session and admin access (where applicable)
- Browser storage — to save draft submissions and recently viewed interviews on your device
We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking on NxtPrep.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information.
We share information only with service providers that help us run NxtPrep — such as hosting, database, authentication, and automation tools. These providers process data on our instructions and only to deliver the service. They are required to protect your information.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of NxtPrep, our users, or others.
How long we keep information
- Account and profile data — kept while your account is active
- Submissions — kept through the review process; approved content may remain in the catalog to help other students prepare
- Security logs — kept for a limited period, then deleted or aggregated
- Deletion requests — we will delete your account, unpublished submissions, and published experiences from your submissions where feasible. Some aggregated, non-identifying statistics may remain
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure session cookies, role-based access controls, and abuse prevention. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; please keep your portal account credentials private.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top. If changes are significant, we may notify you through the learning portal or within NxtPrep.
